history

John Jenkins founded Jenrite Industries in 1980 with former partner Derek Wright. By 1996 the dedicated laminating and coating specialist had 70% of the consumer laminating market and was a dominant player in manufacturing and exporting laminating machines.

Jenrite sold the consumer division to GBC and changed the company name to Pacific Laminations Limited.

In early 2005, Pacific Lamination and Coatings was formed as a separate company under the direction of John Jenkins and Greg Venter, and has since expanded its services to the industry. PLC joined forces in late 2005 with Gary Mathers of GLC Ltd when the two companies took up common shareholdings, to offer a complete laminating and coating service to the wider Auckland market and beyond.
